Let’s talk about sexual dysfunction

The condition where a person has problems with their genitals that prevent them from enjoying the sexual activities is called the Sexual Dysfunction. It can occur at any age but is often seen in people as they age, While it’s not directly related to a person’s age.

There are also some causes that decrease a person’s sexual activity. Stress, sexual trauma, mental health issues, diabetes, heart disease, excessive alcohol use and drugs can all be at the root of sexual dysfunction. Normally, stress is responsible for a short-term decrease in sexual activity.

In men, sexual dysfunction is also known as erectile dysfunction, in which a person has difficulty getting and maintaining an erection. It has been reported that half of the men in the world between the ages of 40 and 70 suffered from some form of erectile dysfunction. The main symptom of erectile dysfunction is difficulty maintaining erection or not having enough erection for penetration.

Sexual dysfunction has been reported in women after menopause, when the body stops producing the oxytocin hormone. Women in their 40s to 50s begin menopause, which is when sexual dysfunction is common as they begin to lose interest in sexual activity. Lack of interest in sex, painful intercourse, muscle spasms around the vigina, and menopause are the most common causes of sexual dysfunction in women.
