Vitamin D for Depression

harrissymptomsky · October 12, 2023 · Leave a Comment

Can vitamin D cure depression?

However, sometimes depression is caused by an underlying organic issue.

Psychological symptoms almost identical to those of pure psychogenic depression can be caused by vitamin D deficiency. Furthermore, vitamin D deficiency can cause secondary hyperthyroidism and hyperthyroidism can lead to depression. And of course you can then try to treat vitamin D deficiency by simply taking more vitamin D or getting more sunlight exposure.

Things, however, are not always that simple.

The organic cause of depression

Being sad or experiencing depression can be life changing.

It not only affects your mood and your feelings, but it also can affect your job and school as well.

No matter how much someone loves you, if you’re constantly depressed and sad, they might be less attracted to you simply because their brain associates less happy moments with you.

Somebody might be a very thoughtful and meaningful person and they find meaning in everything, so they will still develop some affection, but that is often not the case.

Depression can cause chaos in someone’s life and the first thing about it is that we often don’t know what to do against it.

Sure, you can treat it with antidepressants or simply try to ignore it and move on with your life somehow.

However, sometimes depression is caused by an underlying organic issue.

Aldosterone – Reduces Blood Pressure

harrissymptomsky · October 12, 2023 · Leave a Comment

How aldosterone reduces blood pressure explanation

The adrenal gland also produces aldosterone and what aldosterone does, it helps bring back some of the sodium and water from the primary urine back into the bloodstream.

That way it can elevate the blood pressure.

It also helps the body get rid of the potassium and it is obvious here why reduction of aldosterone

can cause blood pressure to drop.

Primary Vs. Secondary Adrenal Gland Insufficiency – Adisson’s disease

harrissymptomsky · October 12, 2023 · Leave a Comment

What are primary and secondary adrenal gland insufficiency?

But so how do we actually diagnose this condition and how do we really know if the patient is suffering from adrenal gland insufficiency?

This what you can see here is the pituitary gland the pituitary gland is

Stimulating the adrenal gland to produce cortisol and the pituitary gland does that by producing the ACTH

That is the adrenocorticotropic hormone

So if the ACTH is not produced and the problems are here well, then that is the secondary form of adrenal gland insufficiency and the primary form of adrenal gland insufficiency is

When the problem is in the adrenal gland itself.
